I have been helping CARE in a very small capacity since the very beginning. I remember Deb talking to me on the phone one day about her dream for CARE– back when it was just Clifford’s Army!
I think I’d consider myself one of the CARE allies? I enjoy helping where I can and donating when I can, but am FAR from a major player.
I think it is important for people to understand that they do not have to be married to the rescue if they aren’t able.
It takes an Army! Even playing small roles, like transporting dogs just one day, is helpful so that the main volunteers aren’t so overwhelmed!
It seems people believe they have to be ALL or NOTHING, but any help is…well, helpful!
