Volunteer With C.A.R.E.

C.A.R.E. is powered entirely by volunteers. Every dog we rescue, every adoption we celebrate, and every life we save is possible because compassionate people like you choose to give their time, talents, and hearts.

Whether you have a few hours a month or want to be deeply involved, there’s a place for you. You’ll meet fellow animal lovers, make lasting friendships, learn new skills, and experience the incredible feeling of changing a dog’s life. No matter your interests or experience, there’s something for everyone.

We’re always looking for creative ideas and helping hands to educate our community about responsible pet ownership, promote spay and neuter, raise funds for our future shelter, and expand our ability to save even more dogs.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Providing a foster home for dogs awaiting adoption (our greatest ongoing need)
• Community outreach and education
• Transporting dogs to appointments, foster homes, and events
• Walking or exercising dogs
• Fundraising and donor outreach
• Running errands, including delivering food, medications, and supplies to fosters
• Grooming dogs (interns and professionals welcome)
• Dog training and behavior modification
• Social media assistance (intern opportunities available)
• Grant research and writing (intern opportunities available)
• Supporting spay/neuter education and outreach
• Photography and videography for events, calendars, and social media
• Staffing adoption events
• Representing C.A.R.E. at community events and information booths
• Assisting with fundraising events
• Event planning
