Hello, I am Shelly Sylvester. I am a mother of 2 (daughter is a RN, son is active Army now deployed) and a Grammy to 2 (Jaxon 4 and Paisleigh 1 1/2).
I have helped animals in need since I was a little girl. I joined Clifford’s Army about 7 years ago. I have fostered puppies, adults dogs, emaciated ones and terrified dogs. There has been many babies I have helped, but a few stand out more than others.
Carver was found on the side of a road.
Many people just passed him by, until a friend picked him up and reached out to me for help. I found rescue for him and fostered him for 2 months.
What an awesome experience it was to help him. He was adopted into a wonderful home and will never have to worry about life again.
Buttercup was also found emaciated and alone by a friend. She came to stay with me until she was fattened up and her medical issues were fixed. She too is in a loving home.
Helping Clifford’s has helped me learn patience. Especially working with the terrified ones. This also helps keep my mind busy while my son is deployed.
I love my life and will fight for the animals until it’s time to move on to meet the ones that have gone to the bridge.
And might I add I have an amazing hubby that puts up with all this craziness.
Ha! I’ll definitely add that because for many, they don’t understand.
I am a proud supporter of C.A.R.E. and am happy to donate for the purpose of rescuing animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment.
